ERROR [42000] [oracle][odbc] syntax error or access violation - in crystal reports

If any one of you is getting the following error while creating a new Crystal Report, guess what!!!!! You are a careless MAMMAL.

I was working on a 64 BIT OS, running CRYSTAL Reports 64 bit package, with Oracle 11g full client.

When i started creating the report, i was using the shortcut CTRL+N, which creates a Standard Template.
I was able to establish connection type ODBC (RDO), but it was not displaying any tables from the selected PROCEDURE.

Went through the Crystal documentation, crystal adds additional PARAMETERS on choosing STANDARD REPORT.

To fix this, i chose option BLANK REPORT, see below:
