Un-protect a word doc, remove restrictions without the password

Recently go stuck with a word file, completely locked for editing. Even restricted to bone for selection and copying content.
If you are stuck in a similar situation, it could easily be overcome using the following steps:

1. Save the document as RTF.
2. Open the RTF in Notepad or Notepad++
3. Search for keyword passwordhash, there will be a string of encrypted password afterwards. Replace this string with nopassword and save the RTF.
4. Open the RTF in Word and Goto menu option REVIEW.
5. Click Restrict Editing, the right bottom of document a button will be shown as STOP PROTECTION.
6. Click STOP PROTECTION and un-check any additional permission checkbox selected.
7. Save the file and carry on as you have work to do.
