IIS Error - 403 Forbidden Access is Denied
- Some users received this error after SSL was enabled.
- The self signed certificate was used.
- The app was not going through netscaler.
- It was surprising not all users were getting the error post SSL was enabled.
- The users accessing the app via citrix, had no issues.
- The users accessing the app via shortcut on physical workstations, accessing app via Cloud VM's were complaining.
To overcome this, updated the IIS SSL settings [Client Certificates] to IGNORE.
