Unable to install .net Framework 3.5 on Win 2016 Server - AZURE

Recently had an issue installing the .NET Framework 3.5 on a win 2016 server hosted in Azure.

Tried adding it using Roles and Features, Failed!!!!!!! 

Downloaded an offline installer but that also failed to install.

Last Resolution -

 

Mounted the ISO to D drive and installed it using the following command.

DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:d:\sources\sxs
